5. SiVMEXI Standalone User-Intervention
The following lists the menu commands available for the Silicon readout, additional to those already described in the VMEXI_SSP. On interruption (CTRL_P) the VMEXI_SSP package enables direct user interaction with the on-board 68030 through the serial port. OnSiRoC commands are prefixed 'N'. All options prompt the user for further parameters when needed.
- W : Silicon VMEtaxi Readout Master with external (Mac) control. Offset $028
- J : Enable VMEtaxi module in ring as a Silicon Readout slave. Offset $038
- K : Silicon VMEtaxi Readout STC slave. Offset $03C
- Z : Enable external (Mac) handling for single crate test-bench systems. Offset $020
Expert Intervention:
- I : Initialise local VMEtaxi.
S : List full status of local VMEtaxi
LA : Level-7 Enable Abort.
NI : Initialise OnSiRoC
NR : Reset and Initialise all OnSiRoCs in a crate
NS : OnSiRoC status and currents
NC : Set Control Registers and Counters of OnSiRoC
NT : Set Thresholds of OnSiRoC
NV : Set Bias Voltages of OnSiRoC
NQ : Load and Check Sequencer
NL : Load and Check Pedestals
N1 : Test Sequencer Memory
N2 : Test Pedestal Memory
N3 : Test Pointer Memory
N4 : Test Raw Data Memory
N5 : Test FADC chain
NA : Test All
ND : Read Data Procedure
Valid Data Types are:
0 : Normal, ie Hits and Cluster Data
1 : Fast, ie Hits only
2 : Full, ie All Raw Data
3 : Normal-Plus, ie Hits and S/W Pulse
4 : Extra, Integrated Software Threshold
NP : List SiDAQ configuration parameters.
VME/VSB memory modify options:
- MD : VME/VSB memory display.
MB : Modify a VME/VSB memory block with a byte sequence.
XB : Cross-check a memory block against a byte sequence.
MW : Modify a memory block with a 16-bit word sequence.
XW : Cross-check a memory block against a 16-bit word sequence.
MM : Modify a memory block with a given data word (ie Block-Fill).
XM : Cross-check a memory block against a Block-Fill.
MX : Modify a memory block with a reproducible 32-bit random sequence.
XX : Cross-check a memory block against a reproducible 32-bit random sequence.
MT : Memory Transfer, ie Block-Move.
X2 : Cross-check/Compare two memory blocks against each other.
ML : Memory Block-Test Loop. Test a VME/VSB memory block from the VMEtaxi with a range of byte, word and long-word patterns. However, note that the byte and word patterns can be optionally disabled.
E : Exit from VMEtaxi system program back to xiMON.
