XXIX International Symposium on Multiparticle Dynamics (ISMD99)

Dear Colleague:

We are pleased to invite you to participate in the XXIX
International Symposium on Multiparticle Dynamics (ISMD99),  ``QCD and
Multiparticle Production", to be held at Brown University, August 9-13, 1999.
This symposium is intended to provide a forum for theorists and
experimentalists to meet and discuss topics of current  interest in
high-energy physics.   Topics to be covered at the symposium will include
Confinement-Deconfinement mechanisms in QCD, Diffractive Production at
Fermi-Lab Tevatron, Deep-inelastic scattering and small-x phenomena at HERA,
Production of jets at LEP, the soon-to-be-on-line Relativistic Heavy Ion
Collider (RHIC) at Brookhaven, Predictions for the next-generation
international Large Hadron Collider (LHC), and  the Interface area between
high-energy collisions and cosmic ray/astro-physics.

Scientific Program:

This symposium will emphasize three main areas. (1) Multiparticle and
diffractive production in perturbative and non-perturbatvie QCD, (2)
Confinement-deconfinement mechanism and the RHIC physics, and (3) Interface
between high-energy collisions and cosmic ray/astro-physics. Topics to be
covered at the symposium will include:


QCD at High Energies, Diffractive Production, and Small-x Physics,

Relativistic Heavy Ion Collisions, (organizers:  Berndt Müller (Duke),
Johanna Stachel (Heidelberg).)

Interface between high energy collisions and cosmic ray physics,
(organizers: Todorov Stanev
    (Bartol), Francis Halzen (Wisconsin).)

Recent Theoretical Developments in Confinement-Deconfinement
