Abstract A search for lepton-flavor-violating (LFV) processes mediated by particles possessing couplings to mixed fermion states, i.e. e+ p -> mu+ p and e+ p -> tau+ p, is performed at the H1 Experiment at HERA using data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 66.5 pb^-1. Constraints are derived on couplings of second and third generation leptoquarks, both scalar and vector, in the Buchmueller-Rueckl-Wyler effective model. Limits are set on the production cross section as well as on the Yukawa coupling of leptoquarks to an electron and a first generation quark for different branching ratios of the leptoquark decaying to a lepton and a quark.
