Abstract First measurements of the neutral and charged current polarised cross sections $d\sigma/dQ^2$ and $\sigms^{tot}_{CC}$ in positron-proton collisions at high $Q^2$ are presented. The measurements are based on $\simeq 15~$pb$^{-1}$ of data collected in 2003 and 2004 with $\sqrt{s}=319$~GeV. The longitudinally polarised positron beam is predominantly right handed leading to polarisation of $\simeq 30\%$. The data are compared to previous measurements of high $Q^2$ unpolarised cross sections.
