Following the observation$^1$ by H1 of unexpected events with jets,
high $P_T$ leptons and missing transverse momentum, we explore final states
with similar kinematic configurations but only high $E_T$ in the final state.
The data sample comprises all available $e^+p$ data as well as, for the first
time, also $e^-p$ data collected in 1998 and 1999.
The measured event rate is compared with QCD and electroweak production
mechanisms for multijet events, and constraints on novel production
mechanisms are derived.
