PDS error management:
The PDS Status during standard running should always be $3FF0.
Some error conditions reflect as:
$1FF0 - no data logging
$2FF0 - problem with TriggerCard
$21F0 - XILINXs not loaded
$3EF0 - problem with power supply (one or more currents or voltages
out of limit)
$3E70 - temperature alarm
$3FB0 - radiation alarm

External Alarms
Radiation Alarm
HCTx are read back through the CAN system as well - note, that HCTx may be
disabled by hand switches on the pDS front!
Temperature Alarm
Both alarms are latched in the PDS and are stationary, that means:
once an alarm occurred temporarily only it will stay signalled until it is
cleared; if however an alarm condition is not fixed it will survive even a
clear.
Internal Alarms
Power Fail
System Fail (Watchdog Alarm)
Power Fail and System Fail are not latched in the PDS, thus when
reestablishing the correct conditions the signalling will disappear
automatically.
