Abstract A search for squarks in R-parity violating supersymmetry is performed in ep collisions at HERA using the H1 detector. The full data sample available is used for the analysis corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 438 pb^-1. The resonant production of squarks via a Yukawa-type coupling lambda' is considered, taking into account direct and indirect R-parity violating decay modes. No evidence for squark production is found in the (multi-)lepton and (multi-)jet final state topologies investigated. Mass dependent limits at the 95% confidence level on lambda'_1j1 and lambda'_11k (j,k=1,2,3) for all three squark generations are obtained in a phenomenological Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model. Additional constraints on the universal mass parameters of sfermions and gauginos are set in a minimal Supergravity Model assuming Radiative Electroweak Symmetry Breaking given a specific value of the coupling lambda'. Finally the dependence of the results on tan beta is studied.
