Abstract For the first time in a collider mode, an azimuthal cross section asymmetry with respect to the charge of the incoming lepton beam is reported from a study of exclusive electroproduction of real photons, e+- p -> e+- g p. recorded with the H1 detector at HERA, from the year 2003 till 2007. The analysed data sample corresponds to an integrated luminosity of 300 pb-1, equally shared in e+ and e- incident lepton charge. The observed asymmetry is attributed to the interference of the Bethe-Heitler and the deeply virtual compton scattering proceses. It is observed in the kinematic domain 6.5 < Q2 < 80 GeV2 and 30 < W < 140 GeV. (the figures 3-10 initially released with this preliminary result were in the meantime published in DVCS HERA II e-p paper).
