Abstract New parton dynamics, characterised by an initial state cascade, which is non-ordered in parton virtuality, is expected to become important in the kinematical region of small Bjorken-x. Evidence for this is searched for by studying events with a forward jet produced close to the direction of the incoming proton in the angular region 7^o < theta < 20^o. The cross-section is presented as a function of x. The energy flow around the forward jet has also been measured to investigate how the energy compensation is described by models and if the forward jet changes with rapidity. The triple differential cross-section d3sigma/dxdQ2dpt2 is presented in the phase regions associated with direct photon, BFKL and resolved photon effects. In addition events containing a hard dijet system in addition to the forward jets has also been measured. The data are compared with the predictions of various QCD-based models.
