Abstract A search for gravitinos produced in positron-proton scattering is presented using the H1 experiment at HERA. In models where the gravitino is the lightest supersymmetric particle, an R parity violating t-channel exchange of a scalar electron can produce a neutralino, which subsequently decays into a photon and a superlight gravitino. The respective event signature used in the search involves an isolated photon, large hadronic transverse momentum and missing transverse energy. The results of the search are presented in the framework of different GMSB scenarios.
