H1 NextMEX Information
H1 Logo

This page provides some information about the H1 NextMEX servers. For general information about the NextMEX project see the pages of the HERA machine group (MPY). The following links represent NextMEX servers which H1 is currently running and what data is provided by them.

The main server running at H1 is the H1 Server (MEX-H1/h1mexsrv), which provides information about the H1 detector status and some subdetector components like the forward proton spectrometer. The server uses as input data files in the old MEX format produced by a NextMEX client job (mexwrite). They can be found on H1 workgroup servers with mounted Dice1 disks as H1STATUS and FPSINFO. For historical reasons also HERAINFO, HERABINFO and ZEUSINFO are produced however not feeeded into the H1 server. An overview of the corresponding tasks can be found here. The corresponding header file using NextMEX software for accessing H1 data is named h1server.h and can be found on the ftp server for the NextMEX code in the datahead directory. Recent changes on the H1 server are noted in logbook.

The server, which provides information about the luminosity, measured at H1, is the H1 Lumi Server. The corresponding header file is named h1lumi.h.

Additionally, H1 is running some NextMEX servers, which are used only internally and they are not accessible by the public, e.g. one for the forward proton spectrometer. Some of the HERA experiments also have a NextMEX homepage, see e.g. the HERA machine group, the HERMES experiment or ZEUS.
